Fora Gold Jewellery Workshop Interior Architecture Design and Application

Fora Gold is a prestigious jewelry workshop in Istanbul Kuyumcukent that produces gold jewelry. As Alya Architecture, we were asked to design a modern and functional jewelry workshop in the architectural project meetings we held with Fora Gold officials. By evaluating the information we received from the meetings, we created the interior designs of the workshop’s management offices, foundry, nailing workshop, polishing shop, accounting office, design room and other work areas and made a successful presentation.

We created modern and stylish spaces that reflect Fora Gold’s corporate identity and values in the interior of the workshop. Ergonomic work areas and arrangements that will facilitate the workflow were prioritized. We enriched the appearance by using wooden details on office walls and work areas. We brought aesthetics and functionality together in jewelry workshop decoration projects.

In interior design, we prioritized safety and ergonomic elements in various sections of the workshop. We created environments where workers can work comfortably and safely with non-slip floor coverings, ergonomic work tables and chairs. Security systems equipped with fire safety equipment and alarm systems emphasize the importance of safety in jewelry workshop decoration and jewelry workshop architecture projects.

We ensured electrical safety by using grounding, fuse systems and residual current relays in electrical installations. We created a lighting system that will reduce workers’ eye fatigue and increase their productivity by using sufficient and correctly placed LED lighting in work areas. The number and location of electrical outlets were placed in accessible areas of work areas, providing a safe and comfortable working environment.

In the ventilation systems, we have installed systems that will provide clean air inlet and dirty air outlet due to the chemicals and dust used in the workshop. The air was cleaned with filter systems. Heating and cooling systems created comfortable working areas by providing a constant temperature and humidity rate in the workshop. In addition, the necessary equipment for fire safety (fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarm systems) was placed in appropriate places in the workshop. These arrangements are one of the most important elements we pay attention to in the manufacturing plant design and application processes.

We focused on details that would increase functionality in different sections of the workshop. We established the correct infrastructure and ventilation systems in sections such as acid, washing, steam, grinding and polishing. We meticulously calculated and implemented the electrical and mechanical infrastructure. We prevented air losses by adjusting the pressure balance between spaces with ventilation calculations. The correct ventilation system reduces fatigue, headaches and respiratory problems by allowing employees to receive fresh air.

During the design process, we tried to make the right lighting choices in the workshop. We selected appropriate lighting elements by considering factors such as light color and light strength in different sections. While cold white light was used in areas where detailed work was done, warm white light was preferred for more relaxing and soothing areas. In this way, we increased the productivity of the employees by reducing their eye fatigue and stress levels. These arrangements are one of the critical details we care about in jewelry workshop architecture projects.

With the turnkey interior architecture solutions we offer for jewelers’ workshops, we managed architecture, mechanics and electrical services together in all stages of the project. With the experience we gained in our Kuyumcukent architecture projects, we delivered more than 100 jewelers’ workshops in Vizyon Park, Elmas Kule and similar jewelers’ workshop structures.
